I’ve been following famous resource investors Eric Sprott and Rick Rule since around 2012. Eric updates his Sprott Money podcast weekly and when I hear something that’s worth sharing, I’ll post it here.

Eric Sprott believes that without sound money, currency backed by something tangible like gold, governments will spend more than they can afford and eventually the underlying currency comes into question.

History tells us that governments have printed money to pay debts they can’t afford around 500 times and IN ALL OF HISTORY those currencies have then collapsed into hyperinflation and becoming worthless.

The tech bubble of 2001, saving the markets after 9/11, and saving the real estate and stock markets in 2008 was all done by flooding the system with currency. The excess debt wasn’t allowed to be cleansed from various markets and instead, we added more debt to keep the markets afloat.
